The Woods


By virtue of its position on the western slope of the Knysna Heads peninsula, The Woods at Brenton-on-lake would not easily part with its rural exclusivity. Due to the nature of the peninsula, development is limited and the urban-styled country setting is guaranteed. The eastern side of the land neck is graced by the beautiful Knysna Lagoon while its western shore is washed by the Indian Ocean.

Locals consider the area a wildlife sanctuary and their dedicated conservation principle is evident in the numbers of wild antelope that roam free amongst the leafy gardens.The birdlife is equally prolific and many species would allow your quiet approach to within almost touching distance.

Brenton has its own slipway as well as sufficient mooring space for your boat. An outboard motor will put you on Knysna's famous waterfront in a matter of minutes while a canoe might need an extra ten minutes or so. By road your home at The Woods would be approximately 15 km from the centre of Knysna
